A ridge of high pressure brought generally fine weather to the northern part of the South China Sea and the coastal areas of Guangdong today. Locally, it was sunny and hot. The maximum temperature recorded at the Observatory was 31.7 degrees in the afternoon, the highest so far this year. The ridge of high pressure is expected to persist over the coastal areas of Guangdong in the next few days.

Mainly fine and hot apart from one or two isolated showers. Temperatures will range between 28 and 32 degrees. Moderate southerly winds.
