Tropical Storm Jelawat has weakened into a tropical depression. At 8 p.m., Jelawat was centred about 150 kilometres south-southeast of Zhanjian. It is forecast to move northwest at about 15 kilometres per hour skirting northeastern Hainan and moving towards Leizhou Peninsula.
Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow
Cloudy with scattered showers and a few squally thunderstorms. Temperatures will range between 26 and 29 degrees. Moderate to fresh east to southeasterly winds.
