Showers affected the coastal areas of Guangdong and the northern part of the South China Sea today. Locally, there were isolated showers and squally thunderstorms this morning. It was hot with sunny periods in the afternoon. Temperatures generally rose to 32 degrees or above over the New Territories. A broad area of low pressure is expected to bring showers to the northern part of the South China Sea and the south China coastal areas in the next few days.
At 11 p.m., Tropical Storm Ewiniar was centred about 1740 kilometres south-southeast of Okinawa. It is forecast to move north-northwest at about 15 kilometres per hour across the seas east of the Philippines.

Mainly fine at first. Becoming cloudy with scattered showers. Temperatures will range between 26 and 30 degrees. Moderate to fresh east to southeasterly winds.
