The southwest monsoon is bringing showers to the south China coastal areas and the northern part of the South China Sea. At 8 p.m., Typhoon Ewiniar was centred about 420 kilometres east of Shanghai. It is forecast to move north at about 25 kilometres per hour across the East China Sea. On the other hand, Tropical Depression Bilis over the western North Pacific was centred about 470 kilometres north-northwest of Yap. It is forecast to move northwest at about 20 kilometres per hour in the general direction towards the seas east of Taiwan.
Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow
Cloudy with scattered showers. A few squally thunderstorms tomorrow morning. Temperatures will range between 26 and 30 degrees. Moderate southwesterly winds.
Outlook : A few showers in the following couple of days.
